Hybrid technology / 3D printing

Styrotec offers a Hybrid-Technology with the Large Format Additive Manufacturing "LFAM" which extends the CNC milling machine with a extrusion head on the Z-Slider for large area 3D printing. This enables new possiblities to realize components.

The printing of big forms before CNC machining leads to less waste then if you were to use usual PU blocks. The energy and time expense is lower and also it is more environmentally friendly because the left over material can be recycled.

The adjustment for the CNC milling machine is implemented by semi automatic assembly of a extrusion head on the z-slider next to the spindle.

On top of the z-slider there is a innovative granulate transportation system which enables a problem-free transport of the materials.

Styrotec offers nozzels with a diameter of 4 mm up to 25 mm. The correct size will be defined according to the dimensions of the printed piece and the capacity of the extrusion head.

Our Solution is equipped with a pellet drying system.

Large area 3D-printing can be executed in the usual flat way perpendicular on the printing table or inclined.

Standard material: PE, PP, ABS, PLA, PA, PC, PET, PPS, PEEK, PEKK etc.

Reinforced material: carbon, glass or natural fiber etc.
